The 'Matoe Madness

A Pictorial Review of this Years Crop!

'Matoe Madness

'Matoes, Cold Set, Sub Arctic, Sweet 1000 (cherry) and Delicious. It's been so wet we even have a few volunteer 'matoes. And just the smell of these plants makes your mouth water.

Mellon Madness

Just a few so far. Melons are always racing to get ripe before the first frost comes. This year we might be lucky and get a late frost. The last frost was May 21st, 2001 and it had devastating effect on much of the yard.

Pepper Plants.

Kind of small but they do have some peppers on them. These also are going to be "racing the frost" here in a few weeks. Those are the volunteer 'matoes off to the side and the tops to a few of the beets that I picked the other day.

Raspberry Madness

This is the best year yet for raspberries. Great big ones and lots of them. In this picture the apple tree is shading them a little. (Looks like somebody needs to chase the lawnmower around here.)

Walnut Trees The walnut trees in the front yard have finally taken off this year. They took a hard hit from that last frost but seem to have recovered nicely. (With a wee bit of "enhancement" in the nutrient and water departments.)
